Great car, with one huge drawback

I leased this vehicle new off the lot. I wanted to trade from my NA Toyota Camry XSE to something with a turbo and between the Genesis and the Supra, this was clearly better. The first month or 2 were great, no issues and i drove the car daily and loved it. Then, something happened with the brakes. I took it in for a service and they said i had a warped rotor, causing vibration and braking performance to suffer horribly. They refinished the rotor and gave the car back. I noticed almost right away that it hadnt been corrected. But i waited a bit to see if driving the car would resolve the issue. It didnt. So i took it in again and they replaced the front rotors, and gave the car back. And STILL has issues with vibration and stopping power. If i am going at highway speed or above, the car vibrates through the pedals terribly and the braking performance is almost non-existant. its becoming a safety hazard at this point. Love everything else about the car, but the brakes need to be fixed or i wont be coming back.

Genesis G70

Love the styling and the drive. It is a great two seater (the rear seat has so little room it is non-functional. Great fuel economy and lots of power for a 4 cylinder. This is my second Genesis (both purchased new). My first one was a G80. It was very comfortable and quiet but a little too large for my taste.

Excellent Car

I’m very happy to have the unique and aggressive looking 2020 G70. It’s stylish characteristics are what drew me to it, along with the amazing comfort of the ride it gives. After a year of ownership, I’m glad to see I still enjoy every drive with my car. I’ve enjoyed my Genesis experience through service visits and I can see myself wanting to continue with the brand for my next car.

Great car with terrible support.

Car is a fantastic ride, has great styling, and is fun to drive. Dealership service experience is terrible, Genesis corporate doesn't care about any issues with the car after purchase, and expect the car to have issues that the Hyundai service tech's do not know how to resolve. In one year of ownership I've never had a car spend so much time at a dealership for things that should have never been an issue if any sort of quality control was attempted. Weeks upon weeks of the car being at the dealer in the first year leaves me with zero confidence in Genesis to resolve issues and in the long term reliability of the vehicle.

Fantastic Sport Sedan

Overall this is an absolutely wonderful car. The styling is fantastic, the motor and driving experience is excellent, and the warranty is second to none. I constantly get stopped and asked about the car by all sorts. The interior is great and the passenger seat adjustment buttons being mounted on the side and accessible to the cabin is one of the best easter egg features of any car I have seen. No car is all around perfect but the G70 checks the most boxes for me across the board and is a tremendous value for what you get.

Genesis review

Very satisfied with vehicle, stylish, comfortable and loaded with lots of extras. Interior engine noise louder than I would have wanted and would purchase vehicle with larger ,Toronto and some additional options if I had to buy car again. Define toy highly recommend Genesis!

Amazing

Fell in love with the car when I got in to test drive it. So much fun to drive and look at. A lot of people’s head turn when I drive this car. The interior is by far the best I have seen in any car and I always get compliments on it when my friends and family ride in it and even strangers say they love how it looks.

G70 review

Car is fantastic and speaks for itself in performance, comfort and styling. Buying experience should be improved to match the brand and become comparable with luxury competition. No big deal if you do not care about being pampered in the showroom but feel like the Genesis brand doesn’t show its identity next to Hyundai and Kia.

2020 G70 3.3T

The car is great. My wife loves it. Took me awhile to figure out all the nannies. 2500 miles the first year of ownership. We have a lot of vehicles so we don't drive this one much. I have had terrible time with the service department at the San Tan Hyundai (Genesis) dealership. Two out of three visits were disasters.

Stay away.

Garbage. Do not buy. Not worth the 55k. Brakes suck. Gas mileage sucks. Speakers suck. Free oil changes are conventional. Sucks. Do yourself a favor and buy a different car. Kia and Hyundai is not the way to go. Garbage Garbage garbage Garbage Garbage

I absolutely love my vehicle. There are several great features to this vehicle! I love how it makes me feel and how it epitomizes luxury for a great price. There is nothing to dislike! I fell in love with Genesis since my first Genesis which was a 2015 Hyundai Genesis 3.8.

To Be or Not To Be Genesis G70

This is the dedicated sport sedan of the Genesis line. An experience you must drive on the streets or the track to fully appreciate what the Genesis G70 has to offer. Car ratings can be misleading and may cause you to miss out on a quality fun vehicle. There is so much to discover once you are behind the wheel that you'll wonder why it took you so long to discover an up and coming line of cars that are going to take us into the future. The technology and engineering that has gone into the Genesis line is really worthy of some the high end vehicles with big price tags but at a reduced cost in the Genesis models.

Great looking car

I love the styling and quality of the vehicle. Can't beat the price and warranty from comparable cars/manufacturers. I am really enjoying driving it as much as I can. Only knock on the vehicle, which is minor, small trunk and rear seat legroom. It's not a big deal because it's a compact sports sedan.

Turbo and brake issues under 5k miles

I will start with saying the warranty and service contract has handled everything as well as I could have asked for . My issues started on the first 48 hours. A rattle noise , broken catalytic converter. A terrible screech from the throttle body, (main issue) causing turbos to be replaced 3 times and the vehicle repurchased, and the upgraded brakes overheating and clamping down twice. I would say they have some real issues and surprised no one has reported this here yet even though the genisis 9forums have many threads. Even my rental car had the noise and went unfixed after I reported it .

It’s a beautiful car, just right for me. I love the style and the way it drive. I love all the features. It’s a smooth ride. I didn’t think I would like the color black, I love it. I love the safety features and all the electronics. I love the interior, it’s so rich looking and comfortable. It has so much it’s just a beautiful luxurious vehicle.

My new car

I love my new car, had it for only 3 months and still trying to understand all that it has to offer. It drives like a dream, turns corners better than any car I ever had The beauty of it is fabulous & I feel Great behind the wheel. Hope it lasts a Very long time.

Very good needs a little more sport to edge over the luxury competitors

Overall a very good car. I believe the 3.3t model which I have should have more sound. Every German competitor will cross shop and a bmw 440 or c43 sound and exhaust note may steal them away. The ride is very good but again steering is too light, and yes even for a confortable luxury brand. Overall would I buy this again YES because I know genesis is already working on some of these issues

So much fun driving

I have owned many expensive and beautiful vehicles from Corvettes to Cadillacs, and Volvos to Germany's best. My Genesis G70 Sport is as good as them all. Matter of fact, it is now the prettiest vehicle that I have owned. With only 10 months of ownership to date, so far it has proven to be one of my MOST exciting cars to drive. I cannot count the number of people who have stopped me and asked me about my G70 sport or the number of people who have given my looks of admiration during my driving moments. My son has had it for a few and he gets the exact amount of attention as I do when driving it.

G70 Does Not Disappoint!

I recently purchased a 2020 Genesis G70 Elite and absolutely love it! The performance is exceptional and the fit and finish are first class. My only complaint is a grinding in the Brema brakes. Haven't worked with the dealer yet on this but will soon. Hopefully they can resolve it and keep my rating at at five star!
